Keyword insights
- Total rankings: The total number of rankings across the above-listed keywords related to the Golden Globes reached 41,097, with the top 10 keywords accounting for nearly 63% of the total visibility.
- General event keywords dominate: Generic terms like ‘golden globes’ and ‘golden globes 2025’ accounted for the largest percentage of rankings (41%). In total, 14 keywords can be assigned to that category, with four appearing among the top ten most ranked keywords.
- Movies and celebrities are frequently represented: Keywords related to movies (e.g., ‘a different man’, ‘wicked’) as well as celebrities (e.g., ‘demi moore’, ‘nicole kidman’) that were nominated for a Golden Globe and/or won were equally prominent, with each category accounting for 24% of the total rankings. With 15 keywords containing celebrities’ names and 10 keywords containing movie titles, this indicates that keywords related to movie titles achieved the same level of rankings with fewer individual terms compared to celebrity-related keywords.
- Nikki Glaser takes the spotlight: A significant 19% of rankings revolved around comedian Nikki Glaser, who hosted the 2025 Golden Globes, including keywords like ‘nikki glaser golden globes’ and ‘golden globes host’. This reflects heightened media attention on her as a host, as both a source of entertainment and potential controversy.
- Kylie Jenner keywords outrank Timothée Chalamet: Although Timothée Chalamet was a Golden Globe nominee for his performance as Bob Dylan in the biopic A Complete Unknown, his name did not appear among the top-ranking keywords related to the event. In contrast, his girlfriend, Kylie Jenner, who accompanied him to the award ceremony, appeared with two keywords (‘kylie jenner’, ‘kylie jenner golden globes’). This discrepancy indicates a larger medial interest in their relationship than in Chalamets professional accomplishments during the event.
- Zendaya’s alleged engagement sparks conversation: Zendaya not only earned attention for her nomination as best actress (musical or comedy) for her role in the romantic sports drama Challengers but also for debuting what is thought of to be an engagement ring from her long-term boyfriend Tom Holland.
US publishers who stole the spotlight
1. NY Times.com
The NY Times takes the top spot among the five most visible US publishers that reported on the Golden Globe Awards. On January 1, the day on which the final vote on the Golden Globe winners ended, this publisher saw a massive surge in visibility, rising high above its competition. A similar rise in visibility can be observed on January 6, the day after the award ceremony. Following this peak, this publisher’s visibility goes down slightly but remains generally steady. Variety gained 1012 total rankings, with their top keyword being ‘a different man’ (117 rankings) and their top article being Nikki Glaser on Hosting the 2025 Golden Globes, Learning From Jo Koy Bombing and Roasting ‘Emilia Pérez’: ‘I Don’t Even Know What I Was Watching’.
